Schools’ back – and Christmas is round the corner!

Well well well what can I say. The seven week school summer holidays have come and gone, and before you know it they will be on the October Holiday. It’s wonderful to have my mornings for me again. Back to my daily routine even my morning coffee is tasting SO much better, anyway enough said about me.

Cecile & I have had a cracking summer and it’s all down to you our customer spreading the word about EMC. We just love when we get phone calls or e-mails enquiring about our food!! It gives us a warm fuzzy feeling when we have been recommended. So it’s a BIG THANK YOU to all our new and existing customers.
Sorry to bring it up but Christmas is only months away. How scary is that?. The Dinner Party season is here.

Summer Holiday are here again!

School Summer Holidays here already, can you believe ? I’m sure that this year went quicker than the last.Well they say that time goes quicker as you get older. Life has been very good at EMC so far this year. We started off with a slow trot after Christmas then from April we got into a cantor and I’m happy to report that we are now into a lovely gallop. On the down side Millie decided to part company with us, but all is well. Cecile and I are both equally committed to continue serving our existing and new customers with the highest standard of food and customer service second to none. BBQ’s have been fun this year, with good weather every time. Fun in the Park in Duston was good however a little windy, we had to hold on the gazebo so it wouldn’t take off!!. This year we didn’t do the Dragon Boat Race (Northampton), hope all who went had a great time and raised lot of money for the Air Ambulance. We provided food for the Troops who attended Northampton Carnival, The day was beautiful the weather was just like the Caribbean.

I know it is the height of summer, however we looking forward to our Christmas Bookings and Autumn Dinner Parties, So if your thinking of entertaining or know someone who is.Tell them to give us a call and your will get 10% of your next order when they mention our Blog

I’m a Grandma!

I’m a GRANDMA! Yes I know you have seen my photo on the site, never was the cry “she’s far to young!”. It’s the glory of God that keeps me looking 30ish O.K. perhaps late 30’s alright early 40’s possible mid 40’s but NEVER 50.

Lots of Drop and Go orders, that’s were we cook and hand over, so our customer can pretend to their guests that they spent all day sweating over a hot cooker. My feet have recovered from our last event. I need to get another pair of comfy shoes as the ones I’ve got are falling apart (they are like slippers)

Got to go now as the cooker beckons

Spring at last. Where has six months gone?

Well folks I know that it has been quite along time since my last entry, you know that saying that time flies. How true is that saying. As you get older it goes from a tug boat to a bullet train. Oh my gosh where has the last six months gone too!

Oh well no point looking back lets look upwards and onwards. Thanks for the comments so far please keep them coming it’s great to know peeps are looking at our site. The year so far has being challenging, but by the grace of God we are continuing to make it though. Orders have been steady, we would have liked to be a little busier but hey. We are very grateful to all our new and existing customers.

Yesterday (Saturday) we catered for a wedding and it was fabulous. The bride looked beautiful and the sun was out all day! Today my feet are paying the price – but nothing a bowl of hot water and salt won’t cure.

And in fact that’s what I ‘m doing right now.

Hi all,

Another busy week! We catered for a funeral in Northampton and all went very well – lots of compliments.

Over the next few week we are very busy which is a great.

The last of our BBQs over the next few weeks. Hope that the weather holds out.

Just over 2 weeks till the kids go back to school (phew). It’s being a long one this year. Never mind nearly there. (not that I’m counting the weeks,days,hours or minutes).

Off to Cash and Carry now.

Northampton School for Girls

Had a great afternoon recently at Northampton School for Girls, talking to them about Caribbean food. We prepared plantain, ackee, salt fish and fried dumplings.

I think they enjoyed themselves. I know I did.

Hello world – first post.

Hiya

We have been really busy at EMC (thanks to all our customers) with weddings, parties, a christening, and sadly a funeral. On a lighter note, it was my sons birthday last week so it was a perfect time for a short break. We headed out for London SW24. It was great not having to cook for 5 whole days! There are many Caribbean take-a-ways and restaurants in south London – some good and some not so good. I enjoyed most of the food, but hey, while I’m not cooking I will enjoy.

Back home now. More bookings for next year and they have been confirmed (great). Functions are steady at the moment, however September onwards is looking busy.

I’m off now. Time to fry some more chicken.
